Chokkin (Chokkin.exe) allows you to segment files that are larger than
a floppy disk(or other media) size so that you can copy the file to other
computers without a network.  Pettan (Pettan.exe) allows you to rebuild
a file segmented by Chokkin.



INSTALLATION:

After downloading 'ChokkinPettan.zip', extract it to one folder.  You
should get these 4 files.
 (1) Chokkin.exe : Splitter
 (2) Chokkin.ini : Setup file used when running Chokkin.exe
 (3) Pettan.exe  : Binder
 (4) Readme.txt  : This file.



USAGE:

To segment a file, just drag&drop the file you want to segment on
'Chokkin.exe'.  After segmenting, copy the segmented files to the
destination computer using floppy disks(or other media), and drag&drop
the first segment file (*.1) on 'Pettan.exe'.  You should now have the
original file on the destination computer with original file name.

You may set the segment size in 'Chokkin.ini'.  The segment file size
must be between 512 and 2000000000 bytes (2GB).



USAGE EXAMPLE:

1) Drag&drop the file you want to segment, 'abc.zip' to 'Chokkin.exe'.
4 files are created.  (The actual number of segment files created depends
on the size of the original file and the size of the segments.)
  abc.zip.1
  abc.zip.2
  abc.zip.3
  abc.zip.4
2) Copy the above 4 files to 4 floppy disks.
3) If the destination computer does not have 'Pettan.exe', copy it to a
floppy disk also.
4) Copy the above 4 files and 'Pettan.exe', if necessary, to the destination
computer.  These files must be copied to the same folder.
5) Drag&drop the 'abc.zip.1' file to 'Pettan.exe'.  

'abc.zip' should be created.



UNINSTALLATION:

'Chokkin & Pettan' do not modify the registry nor any folder on the hard
drive.  To do a clean uninstall, just delete the above 4 files.
